Reminder: New Transaction Fee Reporting Process Effective January 2025

Dear Dealer Registrants, 

This is a reminder that the new Transaction Fee Reporting Process will take effect starting January 2025. Dealers whose registrations renew on or after January 6, 2025, will be required to complete the new Transaction Fee Register and submit it through their dealer portal. 

This enhanced reporting process is designed to: 

  • Support accurate reporting of all retail, lease, and exported non-dealer transactions. 
  • Streamline transaction fee auditing and improve inspection efficiency. 
  • Strengthen monitoring and fraud prevention efforts. 
  • Provide additional tools for curbsiding investigations and fraud detection. 


Step-by-Step Tutorial Available
 

To support dealers in adopting this new process, a detailed step-by-step tutorial is now available on OMVIC’s YouTube channel. This tutorial provides comprehensive guidance on accessing, completing, and submitting the Transaction Fee Register through your dealer portal.
