On Tuesday, June 1, 2021, the Ontario government announced it will maintain public health restrictions when the Stay-at-Home order expires on June 2, 2021. All workplace restrictions will remain in place provincewide until Ontario enters Step 1 on its Roadmap to Reopen.

There are no immediate changes affecting dealership operations. The province’s restrictions for dealerships, including a 25 per cent capacity limitation, test drive restrictions and appointment only operations between 7 a.m and 8 p.m., will remain in effect until Ontario moves to Step 1 in its Roadmap to Reopen.

Additional information about restrictions for dealerships after Ontario enters the Roadmap’s Step 1 will be communicated as soon as it becomes available.

OMVIC will continue to conduct inspections remotely until further notice.
