Transport Canada announces pause of iZEV Program

On January 10, 2025, Transport Canada announced the upcoming pause of the Incentives for Zero-Emission Vehicles (iZEV) Program.

As a result:

  • Dealers are reminded that they must not falsely claim an incentive exists or is available when it is not.
  • Dealers are also prohibited from including an incentive in their advertised price if the incentive is not actually available.

Originally set to end on March 31, 2025, or when funds were fully used, the iZEV Program is concluding early due to high demand.
