Provincial government extending stay-at-home orders across Ontario

Today, the Ontario government announced it will move to a regional approach maintaining the shutdown across most public health regions provincewide, including the ongoing stay-at-home order.

When it is safe, the province will gradually transition each region from shutdown measures to a revised COVID-19 response framework.

The Ontario government updated its framework to allow for a safer approach to retail. Limited in-person shopping in Grey-Lockdown zones will be permitted with public health and safety measures, like limiting capacity to 25 per cent in most retail settings, mask-wearing or face-covering and maintaining physical distancing.

Dealerships are still considered essential and may remain open. They must still serve consumers by appointment only between 7am and 8pm.

• Renfrew County and District Health Unit

means they will move back into government’s framework at the Green-Prevent level on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 12:01am.

Stay-at-home orders will continue in 28 public health regions until Tuesday, February 16, 2021. Toronto, Peel and York Regions’ stay-at-home orders will apply until February 22, 2021, pending public health trends and government reviews.

Registrants should always follow public health measures set out by the Provincial Government.
